Stonebwoy sits comfortably on top of the list of the most listened to artistes in 2018 released by Boomplay, beating his closest rival Shatta Wale and King Promise to second and third places respectively.
Sarkodie and a couple of other A-list stars who had a good year in 2018 rounded up to the top ten.
Boomplay recently released some statistics which reveals interesting trends and facts on the user listening habits and general music listening culture in Ghana.
In 2018, Ghanaian fans streamed music over a billion times on Boomplay; an increase from previous years. There was also a total of 119 thousand User Generated playlists.



Boomplay is a free digital content (Music & Video) application that allows music lovers to access a huge catalogue of music and videos from African and International artists. The contents are available for streaming and download.
The Boomplay application is pre-installed on all TECNO smart devices that were launched after March 2015 and it is also available on Google play store.

The singer has come a long way with the music video for The Lion King: The Gift track " ALREADY " with Shatta Wale and Major Lazer. The Lion King:  The Gift was the release in  2019's The Lion King remake and featured appearances from Jay-Z, Blue Ivy Carter, Kendrick Lamar, Childish Gambino, Pharrell Williams, Wizkid, Jessie Reyez, Mr Eazi, Tierra Whack, 070 Shake,  Burna Boy, and others.
